FAQ's

How long does the CSA run?

The CSA runs for 20 weeks starting around the first of May through mid-September.

What kinds of products will I get in my box?

Each week the selection will vary based on the season and harvest. This selection will always include 6 to 10 items picked at their prime. A sample box in spring may include Lettuce, Greens, Spinach, Scallions, Radishes, Strawberries, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Snow & Snap Peas and other seasonal goodies.    A summer share would include Tomatoes, Blueberries, Peppers, Onions, Summer Squash, Zucchini, Corn, Raspberries, Potatoes, Eggplant, Peaches, Cucumbers and more!    A typical Late summer share would also include Winter Squash, Apples, & Pumpkins!

How much does the cost breakdown by week?

For the 20 week period of the CSA, the weekly breakdown is less than $35.00 for the Full Share. The price of a Half Share is $450.00, around $22.50 per week. Not a bad price to be guaranteed the freshest produce all ready and conveniently packaged for your pickup

How many people will a weekly Full Share feed?

This, of course, all depends on individuals, but a full share should feed 1-3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. Please see the slide show for pictures of what a weekly share might look like. If you would like to supplement your favorite varieties, we will have plenty of extra available at the market for purchase. We also offer a 1/2 share.

What about vacation?

You can always have a friend or neighbor pick up your weekly share if you are unable to do so. However, if you miss a pickup, we are not able to issue a credit and your share will be donated to a local charity.

Is there a deadline for signing up?

The sooner, the better for us so we can plan our crops accordingly. We prefer to have all CSA memberships confirmed by April 1st. Space is limited, so please sign up as soon as possible.
